A Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor (DGSA) is a person certified to provide advice on the consignment, carriage, or the related packing, loading, filling or unloading of dangerous goods, and to monitor compliance with legal requirements. The detailed provisions regarding the role of a DGSA for carriage by road are listed in ADR 1.8.3.

At Industrial Packaging, we do not manufacture dangerous goods and therefore are not legally obliged to have an employee or contractor with this qualification. However, many of our pharma customers manufacture dangerous goods, and we believe it is important for us to have the best possible technical knowledge, in order to give them the right advice on how to package their important product. We believe that our knowledge and commitment is why these global producers come to us for packaging; and why we are industry leaders.

Advice on dangerous goods packaging options

Industrial Packaging has two certified Dangerous Goods Safety Advisors available to discuss your hazardous products and advise on up-to-date, EU-compliant solutions for their storage and transport. Aisling Reynolds, our dedicated Customer Account Manager for industrial containers, is a certified DGSA, having passed the exam administered in Ireland by the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport. One of our Directors, Rob Lee, has also been a certified DGSA for many years and has a lot of practical experience advising on the wide range of packaging types suitable for these products.

All of our container types can be certified for dangerous goods. Which containers might be most suitable for your products depends, of course, on the products themselves and the characteristics of your supply chain. We would be happy to discuss the options with you.

Don’t hesitate to arrange a meeting.
