Curtec’s mission is to create sustainable high performance packaging solutions for high-value materials in demanding environments. They recently introduced a BioBased and Recycled alternative to their Wide Neck Drums and Click Pack Pails.
The sustainability roadmap
So, what’s next for Curtec?
The business is launching a pilot scheme in the Netherlands in 2023 which will involve grinding down all drums which have reached the end of their lifespan. The product of this regrind will then be reintroduced to the production line, where it will be incorporated into new products. This closed loop system will see a massive reduction in waste, leading to healthier and happier environment.
To us, this was fantastic news. Sustainability has always been one of our core tenets, and to be in business with a group that shares our passion for the environment is a win-win!
Successful Trip
Overall, this trip has been a great success! We gained a greater insight into Curtec’s product and sustainability strategy, visited their factory in Rijen, and had the opportunity to network with other experienced Resellers. Not bad return for a 2-day trip!
